Borazjan is located in the northwest of Bushehr in the communication and commercial way of Shiraz to Bushehr at the height of 75 meters above the sea level. Borazjan possess two mountainous and plain areas with warm and arid – semi-desert and tropical weather. Borazjan is the largest and most reliable city in Bushehr province after Bushehr port which enjoys a historical and ancient civilization background. This city which was a center of anti-colonial struggles of the southern people of Iran during World War I (1914-1917 AD) is considered to be a salient point in the contemporary history. Borazjan two large industrial settlements and important cement factories, polyethylene pipes, related industries to palms and etc., constitute the economy of this region. Borazjan is the center of agriculture in the province, around which there are beautiful landscapes of the densest palm-grove of Iran. Dates, mat and weaved products by palm leaves, pottery, rug and etc., are the achievements of the region. Waterfalls, mountains, palm groves, domestic animals, springs, pilgrimage and historical places, large and historical fortress, inns, dams and etc., are the tourist attractions of this city. Borazjan people speak in Farsi with Dashtestani (similar to Lori dialect) dialect. The people of this city are Muslim and followers of Shia among them a limited number are Sunni.
