Shirvan History Museum

Shirvan History Museum is one of the relatively new museums in North Khorasan province. Shirvan is one of the cities in this province where, due to the long history of human settlement, there is always a need for a museum where this history is completely narrated. Since the new generation lacks adequate information about the history of their city. Therefore, a museum called Shirvan History Museum was established in 2014 which has become one of the main sights of the city.

Shirvan History Museum is made up of three main sections: The first section is dedicated to the display of manuscripts. The archeological subject constitutes the second part of the museum, which is completed with objects related to the ancient life of the people in the anthropology section. Shirvan History Museum is located in a space of 600 square meters in a two-story building. In addition to the exhibition space, the museum also includes some other side places. The workshop, restoration laboratory, handicrafts workshops, treasury and quarantine room are among the most important of these parts.

To visit Shirvan History Museum, you need to reach North Khorasan province and Shirvan city, from anywhere in the country. In this city, if you prefer to use public transportation, you can easily find taxis and buses leading to this tourist attraction. If you are traveling with a personal car, you must first go to Imam Reza Boulevard. To visit the museum, you have to park your car on this boulevard and walk to the beginning of Culture Park. There is a low admission fee for this museum. The visitor needs about one to two hours to visit this museum.
