Khaf border town has been located along and after the tourism axes of Torbateheydarieh-Zavveh Roshtkhar. Sangan Khaf Iron Ore Mine is one of the largest mines in the Middle East. Agriculture and animal husbandry form the basis of the region's economic activities. The history of Khaf has reached several thousand years, and before Islam was a part of the territory of the Parthians and Sassanids. And Ibn Nadeem, the author of Al-Fihrist, called this town "Roy", but most Islamic geographers have mentioned it as Khaf. According to Hafiz Abro, a scientist and historian of the Timurid era, Khaf is a famous area where famous people have come from there.
