Bonab Kebab is a kind of Kabab koobideh attributed to Bonab city in East Azerbaijan province. It is made of fresh and fatty sheep mutton in the same form as Koobideh but much bigger. According to the historians, Bonan Kebab has a history of nearly seventy years and the first person who started to roast this delicious food was Mash Samad Ashpazbashi; he used to have a restaurant in traditional bazar of Bonab. One of the significant features of this Kebab is that it needs to be chopped before roasting. Bonab Kebab has been included in the Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
