Sahneh Rock Tomb OR Darband Rock Tomb OR Kay Kāvus Tomb OR Shirin and Farhad Rock Tomb has been carved on the hillsides of Shoqali mountain, situated in the northern part of the city of Sahneh, to the right of the Darband River, in the Kermanshah province, Iran. These tombs are locally known as the graves of Kay Kāvus, Farhad Tarash and Shirin and Farhad tomb.
Some consider these tombs to be among the rarest two-story tombs of the Medes. Carved at an altitude of more than 50 meters above the river level, the site covers an area of 14.5 meters in length and 11 meters in height. There is a carved image of a soaring sun at the entrance of the tomb, visible to the eye. This historical site was registered on the Iranian National Heritage List on January 1, 1997.
Sahneh is located about 50 kilometers away from Kermanshah on the road to Hamedan. One of the most beautiful areas in Kermanshah province and Sahneh county is Sahneh Lake, which attracts many visitors due to its picturesque and roaring waterfalls, wild trees and fruit orchards, towering mountains, and the Kay Kāvus Cave (Darband Rock Tomb).
