Hashlian Wetland is one of the tourist attractions of Kermanshah province, and due to its diverse plant and animal species, it is one of the most important aquatic ecosystems in the province. The path to Hashlian Wetland is located in Hashlian village, in the Allahyarkhani district, at the foot of the Khorin and Weis mountains, 26 kilometers northwest of Kermanshah, on the Kermanshah-Ravansar Road. Hashlian Wetland has more than a hundred small and large islands occupying more than a hectare of its area. These small and tall islands sometimes completely sink into the water during rainfall. The main sources of water supply for this vast wetland are the local rainfall and the Sabzali spring. Hashlian Wetland hosts migratory birds from Central Asia and other parts of the world, as well as nearby cities during the cold seasons and autumn rains. This attracts many nature enthusiasts and bird watchers to this wetland every year. Greylag goose, flamingo, Gadwall, mallard, red-necked grebe, bittern, pelican, swans, red-billed chough, green-billed toucan, great white pelican, and common coot are among the resident and migratory birds of Hashlian Wetland.
