Payam Ski Resort is located in the central part of Marand County (15 kilometers away from the city of Marand and 60 kilometers from Tabriz), nestled in the foothills of the Misho Mountains.

Access to this beautiful ski resort is very short and safe. The route is generally favorable throughout the year, with even some sunny days during winter days. Moreover, there is no danger of avalanches and heavy snowfall in the region. The Payam Ski Resort is managed by the Ski Federation and the East Azerbaijan Ski Association. It is one of the oldest ski resorts in Iran, inaugurated during the Second Pahlavi era which has continuously operated since then.

The resort features three amateur and instructional ski lifts (First Summit and Second Summit), with the First Summit and instructional lifts currently in operation. The skiing season at this resort depends on the winter snowfall, typically starting from early December and lasting until mid-March.

The Payam Ski Resort in Marand was opened in 1969 on a 30-hectare land, and since then, every year it witnesses the presence of tourists and athletes for sports, recreation, and various sports competitions.
