Mirjaveh is located in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. More than 350km of the border of Iran and Pakistan has been extended in this city. The borderline of Mirjaveh and Pakistan is one of the most important borders of Iran.

People of this city is from Baluch tribe and they are Hanafi branch of Islam; they speak in Sarhadi dialect. It is approximately 6000 square kilometers area including three parts and seven rural districts. Mirjaveh county was formed in 1391 SH as the result of separating from Zahedan.

Mirjaveh is one of the first cities of Iran where the police and customs offices had been active.

The climate is there arid, warm and desert and it is considered as the least rainy city, because of being located in the desert belt of the world. However, Ladiz district in this county has a more pleasant and it is more rainy than the other parts since it is located on the hillside of Taftan mountain. The coldest parts of Sistan and Baluchestan province has been placed in Ladiz district.

There are several seasonal rivers in Mirjaevh and they are flowing when it rains, however, two Ladiz and Tamin rivers are among the permanent rivers of the city.

The required water for agriculture is supplied from Tamin river. Due to the diversity of climatic conditions, there are many different agricultural products in this city among them the wheat, barley, corn, date, Kolza, Armenian plum, nectarines, walnut, peach, almond, sour cherry and cherry can be referred.

Given to the existence of many ancient materials including handmade objects discovered from the coast of Ladiz river, it seems the antiquity of this county to be a thousand years. The complex of the cave and cemetery of Hafadmolla located in Tamin rural district is among the main tourism attractions of this city. This cemetery dates back to the middle of the Islamic era. Police office, railroad, and post office of Mirjaveh are the other attractions.

Among the historic monuments and ancient sites of this region, one can mention to the crypts of primitives, ancient cemeteries and hills in Ladiz, Chehl Dokhtar castle, Ladiz castle and wells related to the ancient mines in Junabad, Giaban, Chalang and Kharestan.

Broth, kebab, Tanurcheh or Abbaneh or Baneh broth are the most famous and delicious local foods of this region.
