Provinces
Tehran Province
Tehran Province is bordered by the Alborz Mountains to the north and the central plains and plateaus of Iran to the south. The city of Tehran is the capital and the most populous city in Iran, where various ethnic groups live.
Alborz Province
As a modern province, Alborz is not an old division. Until a few years ago, Karaj and its surrounding cities were considered to be part of Tehran Province. In 1389 SH, the western cities of Tehran formed Alborz Province, with Karaj as its capital.
Ardabil Province
Ardabil Province is the twenty-fifth inscribed province of the country, located in the northernmost point of Iran. It covers an area of over 18,011 square kilometers, bordered by the Republic of Azerbaijan to the north, Gilan Province to the east, Zanjan Province to the south, and East Azerbaijan Province to the west.
Bushehr Province
The land of tireless fighters, sailors, and fishermen, poets and writers, lush palm groves, warm sun, and fiery winds, Bushehr is located in the south of Iran on the shores of the Persian Gulf.
Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province
With its ancient history dating back thousands of years, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province encompasses some of the most spectacular natural tourist attractions, with over 630 of them registered nationally.
East Azerbaijan Province
East Azerbaijan is a cold region in northwest Iran. It is a land known for the resilience of its fighters like Sattar Khan and Baqer Khan, the ingenuity of its women artists, the steadfastness of its nature, as well as delicious and colorful foods.
Fars Province
As the fourth largest province of Iran, Fars is located in the south of the country. Fars is the land of culture, poetry, and orange blossoms.
Gilan Province
Located between the Alborz Mountain Range, Talesh mountains, and the Caspian Sea, Gilan is a land where rivers cascade down from the mountains and lush forests captivate the eye.
