The large stones of this mill were moved by the water from the very old Qanat of Keykhosrow, which was directed towards the mill's turbine at a depth of 18 meters underground. The water would fall with great pressure onto the mill's wheels, causing them to move.
The main entrance of the mill was created at a depth of three meters and, after passing through a large tunnel 60 meters long with a very steep slope, it connects to the main center and the main part of the mill. This tunnel, with a variable height of two to four meters and a very steep slope, has been dug in a remarkable manner.
In the main area of the mill, at a depth of 25 meters, we encounter multiple spaces including rooms, stables, and places for the millstones and the turbine. In this section, platforms have been made for placing sacks of wheat and flour, and loads and wheat are transported by animals such as horses, donkeys, and even camels.
According to ancestral accounts, this mill was built during the reign of Keykhosrow and is over 2000 years old. This historical building was registered on 19/11/1389 in the list of national monuments of Iran. (No. 29778)
