Ramian

Being located in the east of Golestan province, Ramian has a reputation for its attractive and green nature. different tribes live here together. This city was independent of Gonbad Kavus in 1379 S.H.   
Ramian shares land borders with Gonbad Kavus to the north, with Semnan to the south, with Azadshahr to the east and with Aliabad to the west. Two districts namely Markazi and Fenderesk are the subcategories of Ramian. Rural districts of Daland and Qalehmiran are located in the central part and in Fenderesk there are the north and south Fenderesk rural districts. It is 80 kilometers distance between this city and the capital city of the province and 493 kilometers to Tehran. 
The climatic conditions in the southern parts are mountainous and it is semi-humid in the north. Most of people live in the plains here and the forest and fruit gardens constitute the hillsides. 
The name of Ramian is driven from a tribe named Aramian who lived in the north of this region. Today, the populated texture of this city consists of Turk, Turkman, Fars, Baluch and Sistani and the languages of Farsi and Turkish is popular there. For the reason that the soil of this region is extremely fertile, people are mostly occupied with agriculture and animal husbandry. Another group of people are producing handicrafts. 
One of the most famous natural attractions of Ramian is the fountain of Gol Ramian along the road of Ramian to Alang. This area is a natural and lime pool placed between the jungle and the mountain. 
The remains of Maran, Muran or Miran castle is observed on the Maran mountain. The shapely form of this mountain has made it a unique tourism destination. Moreover, interesting among the Ramian attractions are the Nilbarg forest and fountain, the mountainous village of Paqale, Olang jungle, the countryside village of Jouzchal and Halimeh Khatoon shrine. Several pleasant waterfalls are here like Sorkhe Kamar eight waterfalls, Pashmaki waterfall, Shirabad waterfall and Jouzak waterfall. 
Baking a variety of local delicious foods is popular in Ramina; for example, Salmachokhardma, Mashli pottage, grilled Chouz and Reshteh Polo. The local Reshte pottage is called Khamiri pottage in Ramian that is cooked with sour pomegranate sauce. Tablecloth, table linen, shirt and towel are among the main fabrics woven here. 
The local honey, rice, jungle plum, wild medlar, sour pomegranate, jungle strawberry and persimmons are the souvenirs of Ramian. Tourists can also buy kinds of sauce and pickle, Kashk and local vegetables like Anardaneh, Quyun Qozu, purslane, Sorghum, chives, pennyroyal, Ramsons and Fennel Bulbs in this city.
