Chi Chest Coastal Village

Each year, especially during the warm seasons, many tourists go to Urmia and visit attractions like Sheikh Tappeh Forest Park of its historical bazaar. But what you may remember most about Urmia is Lake Urmia. Chi Chest Coastal is built right next to Lake Urmia. This coastal village was built eighteen kilometers of Urmia Road to the lake, somewhere close to Bandar Golmankhaneh, and it was supposed to have a view of the lake. However, this was not achieved as the lake became dried. The construction of this site began in 1339 SH, and it was used also during the years after the Iranian Revolution. Since 1378 SH, the municipality of Urmia took over this project, and revived it, turning it into a tourist site. Today, many tourists can visit there.

Chi Chest Coastal Village is built in an area over twenty hectares. Its facilities can be divided into two groups of accommodations and cultural centers. They should not worry about where they will rest because there is a three-star hotel complex where they can rent rooms. The families who have children can be sure that they will have a good time in Chi Chest. There are attractions and playing grounds installed there. The teenagers and adults can spend their time playing Ping-Pong, foosball, ice hockey, snooker, or visit the natural history museum.

You can enjoy more adventurous attractions like rallying. Karting can be a joyful experience for those who are fond of car riding. Another way to have a nice time in Che Chest is to amuse yourselves with radio-controlled cars or airplanes.

Salt therapy rooms have been installed there. Occasionally, festivals are held there and guests can attend concerts or ceremonies. The large amphitheater built there is installed for such occasions, and sometimes wedding ceremonies are held there, too. There are walking paths and restaurants for tourists. Luckily, following the revival of the Lake Urmia, this leisure center has gained more freshness and beauty.

There is Bari tourist complex forty kilometers of Urmia – Salmas Road, where other facilities like hotels, restaurants, and sports facilities like boat riding and horse riding and shooting are provided.
