Tabatabaei House is one of the aristocratic houses which is a symbol of significant Persian architecture. The beauty of the building gave it the title of “Bride of Houses. Build in early 18th century, by the order for the affluent Tabatabaei family, the house represents the unique artistic taste of its architecture.

The historical mansions of Kashan city are the most famous monuments of Iran. The mansions located in the historical context of Kashan, buildings for all the tourism tastes, especially in spring when the countryside inhabitants start Golabgiri festival to make Rosewater. 

Tabatabai House located in Soltan Amir Ahmad alley near a tomb with the same name. It is consisted of four courtyards and has some similarities to the Boroujerdi House because they both had the same architect working on them.

The 4,700 square-meter house is decorated with wall paintings, murals and also elegant stained glass windows. The house has 40 rooms, 4 courtyards, 4 basements, 3 windwards. Dowlat Abadi and Nasr Abadi Qanats are the main water supplies of the mansion. After the entrance, there’s a main archway and a vestibule shifting to the rectangular courtyard which is built by marble with a font and six gardens in.

The windwards keep the house cool and any visitor has feel the difference of temperature between the inside and outside of the house.

The house belonged to a carpet merchant and was designed by Architect Ali Maryam Ameri. The architect made sure to consider the main characteristics of the local architecture which is mainly influenced by climate and desert weather in the designing process.

If you are going to travel to Kashan the historical mansions must be the first monuments to visit. Some of these mansions have converted to hotels, so you even stay there for many days and nights to feel the mood of Persian houses.
